The traditional club has become active, especially in getting children and young people active. Even in elite sports, Anttola's athletes have long traditions.

Famous top athletes from Anttolan Urheilijat in the past years have been the skier Eero Kolehmainen, who won the Olympic silver in 1952, and Taito Väisänen, the national team orienteer of the 1970s. Successful people of the 21st century have been e.g. veteran world champion Mikko Väisänen and national team guide Henna-Riikka Haikonen.
