Headquarters museum
The Headquarters Museum was established in 1974 with the opening to the public of the study of the Finnish Commander-in-Chief, Marshal G. Mannerheim. At the turn of the millennium, the museum was expanded to two floors and six different exhibition spaces, including the restored Land Forces Office of the Operations Department on the upper floor. At that time, all the premises of the Headquarters Museum were restored to their wartime appearance. The main exhibition at the HQ Museum tells the story of the HQ during the last wars and of civilian life during the war years. Mannerheim's study and the Operational Department's Land Forces Office have been restored to their wartime appearance.
