Local and organic food
Locally produced food is a matter of the heart at Okkola. A stone cottage in a traditional Finnish rural landscape has been converted into a restaurant. The restaurant serves food prepared according to the Eastern Finnish culinary tradition, with ingredients sourced locally according to the season. Most of the fish used in the restaurant is bought from local fishermen. Some of the herbs, potatoes and berries used are grown by the restaurant itself. We are committed to increasing the local content of our food. Niinipuu serves lunch and a'la carte. The restaurant's speciality is plank smoked salmon straight from the pot to the table. The courtyard is classified as a landscape area of national importance.
