S/S Wenno was built in 1907 to transport timber to the Miettula sawmill in Puumala. It is the only surviving iron-hulled steamer of the Saimaa’s large tar steamer fleet. The Puumala Boating Association renovated the ship for traffic and has maintained the operational condition of the ship together with the municipality of Puumala. On the cruise of S/S Wenno you can enjoy the almost silent floating of the steamship in the beautiful scenery of Lake Saimaa.
