Experience the flow channel formed by the ice age
The Loketononkalo is a north-south-east oriented channel eroded by glacial meltwater in a zone of weakness of fractured bedrock. It is bordered by small rocky escarpments; the south-western escarpment also contains a rock shelter which, together with the gorge, served as a hiding place for local people during the war. There is a marked path leading to the gorge from a nearby road, which also leads to the adjacent rocky hill which serves as a lookout point. There are also small boulder caves to the south of the gorge.
