Hilja’s heritage park

Saimaa Geopark’s natural and cultural site Hilja’s heritage park tells a story of Karelian peasant culture. In the area there is a Karelian house and four granaries from the 19th century. Hilja’s heritage park is located along the River Vuoksi in the Pässiniemi area, close to the city center. The Fishing park and the Swimming hall are located next to the Hiljas’s heritage park.
